The trailer for Altered Carbon: Resleeved dropped yesterday–continuing the adventures of Takeshi Kovacs–and it looked pretty good though if I were to have a criticism it would have to be the animation.

It’s almost what I’d call an in-house style at Netflix–most of their anime is done in this fashion–and it’s great as far as technology and bodies go.

Faces? Not so much. Characters typically have that vacant 40-yard stare and look like manikins.

And I get it, it’s CGI but the medium is capable of so much more nuance.
