Someone wiser than I said that “There is no such thing as bad publicity.”
Looking at what some of the candidates for the Republican presidential nomination are saying, there’s perhaps some truth to that adage.
Though I am not here to talk politics, so let’s apply that famous saying to the movies.
Recently Rev. Bob Larson (supposedly), a world-renown exorcist, said, according to ComicBookMovie.com that he thought that Ledger’s performance in Christopher Nolan’s 2004 film, “The Dark Knight” could have possibly been perhaps shaped by demonic influences.
Sure, to quote Lt. Charlie Pizer from Disney’s 1980 sci-fi film, “The Black Hole:” it’s an idea that’s “more cuckoo than a Swiss clock.”
Snark aside, if you actually read the piece the Reverend actually makes some interesting points, despite how nutty his initial premise is.
