This is a damn clever trailer. It’s literally a study in contrasts, and the misinterpretation of said contrasts.
Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), known to the criminal underworld as the Kingpin, dresses in a snazzy white suit and an apartment so monochromatic that it looks like it’s adjacent to an Apple Store while his opposite–you don’t think it was an accident that Fisk stood opposite a mirror?–is Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), known to the criminal underworld (and a few select confidants) as Daredevil, the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, is immersed in darkness. face bloody and dressed in black.
But are things are clear-cut as they appear or are they grayer?
As I said, it’s pretty clever.
You don’t see it in this trailer (or any trailer as of yet released) but this will also be the introduction of Bullseye (whom will likely not have a comics-accurate costume–not a bad thing at all–but I hope they at least dress him in a manner that’s evocative of it).
