Visually speaking, Beyond The Aquila Rift is remarkable. In fact, it’s so good that if someone told me that this movie existed in Ridley Scott’s Prometheus/Alien universe, I’d have little problem believing it.
The problem is that the storytelling is the weakest point, and that’s a HUGE issue.
The story just meanders in that you don’t know the how’s or why’s things happen; they just do, which makes watching this, when all is said and done, really unsatisfying.
There’s a really good story here, but it never quite gels. It’s better than When The Yogurt Took Over, but not by much.
