Review – The Silence (2019)

The Silence is thematically speaking vaguely similar to A Quiet Place and Bird Box in that they all revolve around antagonists that key into a particular sense.

A Quiet Place revolved around creatures that hunted by sound–the same as those in The Silence–while Bird Box’s terrors were visually driven.

And that similarity would be fine if it were a particularly good movie, which it isn’t. It’s not terrible by any stretch, it’s just not too good.

And as I discuss in my video, I don’t see how these little critters could be much of a threat. Sure. they’re prolific and vicious but they’re so many people in this country fixated on guns that there’s no way we wouldn’t literally eating their lunch.
