REview – The Strain (2014 – 2017)

This weekend–after taking advantage of a free month of Hulu–I caught Guillermo Del Toro’s The Strain and it was pretty good which only fell short of remarkable because the fourth season felt truncated (According to shorrunner/director Carlton Cuse Del Toro actually had plans for a fifth season, which would have given what ended up being the final season room to breathe).

And that’s interesting if only because I don’t tend to be the guy that wants extended seasons of anything–though to be fair that tendency comes exclusively from the series Netflix was doing with Marvel Television, all of which had 13 episodes when they would have worked better with 10.

Though overall The Strain is damn good television that would have benefitted from another season.
