
To be totally honest, I thought that 1982’s The Dark Crystal was a bit dull and perhaps a bit too ambitious for it’s own good.
It’s entirely possible I’ll think the same–or at least similar–about Netflix’s upcoming prequel The Dark Crystal: Age Of Resistance.
And it’s highly likely I’ll watch it anyway became I am a huge fan of puppetry-based series like Stingray and Captain Scarlet And The Mysterons so anything that helps to keep the art form of puppetry alive and viable I’m likely to support on principal alone.
It’s worth mentioning that there’s something to be said about real objects on screen interacting with each other, instead of real objects interacting with lots of green/blue screen and tennis balls.
