Babak Anvari was a new quantity to me before I saw Wounds on Hulu, and having seen it, this guy is going to go far.

Wounds is a story about a bartender named Will (Armie Hammer) who moves aimlessly though life but there’s a destiny waiting him, and it’s a horrific one.

Wounds is more in the arena of psychological horror, and while there’s gore, it’s not gratuitous and tends to reflect where Will’s mind is at any given point more than anything else.

It’s mainly psychological in nature till the surprising answer to Will’s predicament, that is.
