Typically the only thing learned from a teaser trailer is next to nothing (which is why they’re called ‘teasers’).
Though there’s more here than meets the eye because it’s described thusly by IMDB:
“A quiet drifter is tricked into a janitorial job at the now condemned Wally’s Wonderland. The mundane tasks suddenly become an all-out fight for survival against wave after wave of demonic animatronics. Fists fly, kicks land, titans clash — and only one side will make it out alive.”
Anyone who’s familiar with video games probably noticed the similarity between that synopsis and the video game “Five Nights At Freddy’s,” which is doubly interesting because Blumhouse has been trying to get a movie released based on the property for a year or two now.
Though if they manage to come out after Wally’s Wonderland who’s to say if the market will support another animatronics gone haywire at a amusement park movie.
Though let’s keep in mind that this isn’t as innovative an idea as it first sounds because Westworld came out in 1973 – which is exactly the same idea – and was rebooted by HBO in 2016.
