Lately I’ve been a little leery of Screen Gems (while they did release John Carpenter’s Ghosts Of Mars–an underrated movie) because they released the horror (in a bad way) that are, for the most part, the Resident Evil movies and more recently, Slender Man.

The latter being very, very ‘Meh.’

Though I have to admit that The Possession Of Hannah Grace at least seems to be approaching the demonic possession sub-genre with something approximating originality.

Based upon the trailer the movie seems to posit that evil has a very ‘can do’ attitude, so with the possession of Hannah Grace apparently not having gone particularly well–especially for Hannah Grace–it’s try, try again.

It’s an approach that I have seen before though as I implied it’s not a common one.
