I moved my Marvel’s Daredevil Season Two discussions from ‘Reviews’ to ‘My Two Cents’ because–as opposed to an actual review–I tend to discuss interesting points about the episode. Besides, to write an actual review mens that I would have to commit to a spoiler or two, which I have no intention of doing because, as Tony Stark […]
“Why didn’t you take off my mask?” –Daredevil “I don’t give a shit who you are.” –Frank Castle, aka the Punisher Those aren’t the words that begin the third episode of Daredevil’s Second season, though they might as well be because if there’s one thing that makes Frank Castle the most dangerous opponent Daredevil has ever […]
“Even has a code name.” “Like what? Kill-dozer? Or ‘dumbass with a gun?’” “Not quite. They’re calling this one ‘The Punisher.’” Or “Hold on. Sure I can’t get you anything else? You know, I’ve got it all, man. Yeah, bondage, backdoor, grannies, or maybe you’re in the market for something younger. She’s barely 12. Guaranteed.” […]
“Everytime I think we’ve seen it all, Hell’s Kitchen manages to sneak up and kick me right in the balls.” It’s apt that the first episode of Marvel’s Daredevil Second season is called ‘Bang’ because it almost literally begins with one. New York is experiencing record high temperatures and tempers are flaring along with the heat. […]
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is going up later this month, though before that we have the Second season of Marvel’s Daredevil, premiering tomorrow on Netflix. This time Daredevil faces not only The assassins known in the comics as The Hand (we saw hints of them in the first season) but the lethal vigilante known as the […]
While it’s great that Bryan Singer finally understands that he’s making movies based on comic books, the bulletin might have come just a bit too late. Reason being, we’ve got Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice premiering March 28–by the time its competition appears on the horizon hopefully it will have profitability in its sights. If it doesn’t […]
“”Vengeance Shall Be Hers” But Frustration Will Be Yours.”
When a movie comes from Seth Rogen you typically don’t expect it to be terribly sophisticated–though considering that he, along with producing partner Evan Goldberg, have developed a series based on Vertigo’s Preacher (which is getting rave reviews) it’s not any longer a terribly accurate interpretation–and if that movie were called ‘Sausage Party’ you probably […]
Typically, when we’re talking about science, it’s in reference to something that can be proven (such as global warming, which despite what naysayers may say, is quantifiable) by a combination of observation, experimentation and tried and true trial and error. Now sorcery doesn’t have as nearly as rigorous a system of validation, because we’re talking about something […]
Oh. My. God. Where to begin…first off, what the hell is this? Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr.) latest indulgence? A S.H.I.E.L.D. base of operations replacing the destroyed Triskelion from Captain America: The Winter Soldier? I have no idea. Then there’s this: Yes, that’s the Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) outrunning a speeding Audi. The reason being, the car was […]
